Other Partner Organizations

The United Church of Christ (UCC) Volunteer Ministries provides visa sponsorship for ARSP volunteers in the United States.

We cooperate together with the German Embassy in Washington D.C. and the Consulate General in New York

ARSP is a member of the Council of Religious Volunteer Agencies, a broad, faith-based coalition of North American organizations (promoters, planners, users) of voluntary service. Rooted in the religious community, CRVA is an independent, non-profit association. Members include both local, community-based organizations that engage a small numbers of volunteers and national agencies that place thousands of volunteers annually.

The International Summer Program on the Holocaust and Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste work together to organize four-week long dialogues between Jewish and non-Jewish students. The mission of the International Summer Program on the Holocaust is to educate about the contemporary significance of the history and legacy of the Holocaust.

"Atonement for the sins of our forebears is a relatively unexplored concept among U.S. citizens – even though there is much in our past that calls us to such searching. The willingness of ARSP volunteers to confront the horrors of the Nazi Holocaust and offer themselves in service to its victims, enriches beyond measure the UCC Volunteer Service Program and opens the door for U.S. volunteers to begin to explore the concept of atonement."

Susan Sanders, former Secretary for Voluntary Service, United Church of Christ, Board for Homeland Ministries
